A local carpenter with experience you can rely on

I’m Jack Richardson, owner of J.R. Carpentry and Construction, and I have been working in carpentry industry for more than 21 years. Most of my experience has been in residential work, from high-end homes across Elmbridge and Surrey through to larger renovations, extensions and new-build projects.

Over the years I have worked on a wide variety of residential projects, which has given me experience across almost every aspect of carpentry within the home. That includes structural and first-fix work, roofs and timber framing, doors and second fix, kitchens, staircase refurbishments, fitted furniture, under-stair storage, alcove units and the detailed finishing work that brings a property together.

Having worked on a wide range of homes and projects, I have learned that good carpentry is about more than simply fitting something correctly. It’s about understanding the property, working with what is already there and finding a solution that looks right, works properly and feels as though it belongs in the home.

These days, much of my work is focused on helping homeowners improve and make better use of their properties, whether that’s refurbishing a staircase, creating fitted storage or carrying out carpentry throughout a larger renovation. I still take the same approach I always have: turn up when I say I will, communicate clearly, take care in a client's home and make sure the work is finished properly.

I want J.R. Carpentry and Construction to feel like a business people can be comfortable inviting into their home- experienced enough to deal with the difficult parts of a project, but still personal enough that client's who they are working with from the first conversation through to the finished job.
